Grants are slated to be awarded by the Office of Victim Services sometime this summer, with contracts between the agency and successful grantees beginning Oct. 1, 2022. Funding will be provided through Sept. 30, 2025, and OVS has the option to renew funding for another two years depending on the availability of funds. Funding is available through the federal Victims of Crime Act, which supports victim compensation and victim assistance programs in each state.
